About Pinli

Pinli is built for the charity golf tournament that happens once a year and cares more about their cause and their guests having fun than keeping track of spreadsheets. The kind run by a small committee of people that don't organize tournaments for a living and want the process to be simple and stress-free.

It's priced simple and flat; narrow on purpose, so it does one kind of tournament really well. Read more about our story and our mission below.

Our story It started with one tournament

Why Pinli exists

The origin tournament story isn't unusual. Charity golf is mostly run by people who don't run tournaments for a living — a committee, a volunteer, someone at a foundation and a spreadsheet that nobody knows how to get into, is hard to keep up with on the run, and causes frustration for everyone involved.

The software built for golf mostly isn't built for them. It either assumes you're a club with a season of events and a golf professional on staff, or it takes a cut of every single player who signs up — which, for a fundraiser, means the platform earns more the better the event does.

Pinli is built for the other case. One big event a year, run by someone that is passionate about their cause, and just wants to see their guests have fun while giving back to a cause that means something to them.

What that means in practice

One flat fee, never per player

Pinli charges the price of a single team's entry, once, per tournament. Fill every slot and sell every sponsorship and the fee doesn't move. A platform that profits from your growth is a platform with the wrong incentive.

No tiers, no locked features

Every tournament gets everything — website builder, embeddable signup, live scoring, sponsor management. There's no version of Pinli you have to upgrade to.

Narrow on purpose

Scrambles and best-ball, played in foursomes. Not leagues, not club championships, not handicap-based net scoring. Doing one kind of tournament properly beats doing every kind adequately.

Real answers, fast

No support tiers, no ticket queue, no escalation path to fight through. Email support@pinli.io and you get answers — while you're deciding, on tournament morning, and everywhere in between.

Meet our founder

The person behind Pinli

Nathan built the first version of Pinli for a single memorial tournament, then spent the years since turning it into a platform any charity event can run on.

He's still close to every tournament on Pinli. Whether you're deciding if it fits your event or you hit a snag on tournament morning, you'll hear from someone who knows the product inside and out.

See it before you commit to it

Build your entire tournament first — the website, the sponsor tiers, the registration flow, the lot — without paying anything or entering a card. The platform fee only comes due when you're ready to open registration. You get to see exactly what your committee, your sponsors, and your players will see, and then decide.

And you don't have to do it alone. If it's your first tournament on Pinli — or your first tournament, full stop — we'll get on a call and set it up with you, and we're a quick email away straight through tournament day.
